Kristen began her exploration in encaustic media while attending Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN as she completed a Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Art Education. She prefers to employ the natural virtues of beeswax, as it contributes a multilayered, sensory quality to her works.
As a seasoned triathlete and avid hiker, Kristen is often struck by inspiration when confronted with the transporting beauty of the environments that envelop her as she challenges her own limits.
Kristen has displayed her work at several institutional exhibitions and several of her pieces have been official selections at juried art competitions.
